Innovation
Since the introduction of the MagnaTrack in July of 2017 it has become the leading exterior motorized screen system in the World! Innovative in Design and Unmatched performance. This patented technology is ONLY available through Progressive Screens or authorized/approved dealers.
Innovative in design and REVOLUTIONARY for the industry, the fully-patented MagnaTrack system utilizes opposite-pole neodymium magnets which are secured into both the track housing and inner track. These chrome-coated rare earth magnets have an estimated 400-year life expectancy.
How does it work?
Our system has a unique self-tensioning design; with specialized magnets interlocked into the track housing AND an adjustable track insert, creating a constant secure hold. The magnets are slightly separated, permitting the inner track to float inward during deployment. By allowing the screen to expand while under wind pressure - separating the magnets - the screen panel remains taught when deployed. When wind pressure subsides, the magnetic pull will tension the screen as it contracts, and the system adjusts accordingly.
This allows the screen interlock to easily feed into the track without hang-up, jamming, or pull-out! Our MagnaTrack system is able to overcome the ineffectiveness of BOTH fixed track (permanently secured by fasteners) and zipper systems!
